Namasté France, and a welcome for the Prime Minister

At La Seine Musicale, Shreyasi performed a full margam and led workshops for children and adults. She then gave the opening dance at the Indian community event held in honour of the Prime Minister's Bastille Day visit.

The journey

From Ganesa Natyalaya to Kalakshetra, and home to Delhi

Shreyasi began dancing at seven under Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan and gave her arangetram in 2007. At fifteen she left for Kalakshetra Foundation in Chennai, where she spent six years and earned a diploma and a post-graduate diploma. In Delhi she trained with the late Guru Jamuna Krishnan, and today she learns from Guru Dr. G. Ratheesh Babu.

In 2022 the Indian Council for Cultural Relations sent her to Réunion Island, France, to lead the Indian cultural centre at the Consulate General of India.
